Dunsborough is a wonderful tourist hub established in the South West Region on the coastline of the adventure playground of Geographe Bay, less than 300 km south from Perth. It is the northern gateway to the world famous Margaret River Wine Region and lies at the entrace to the magical Cape Naturaliste, which features some of the most attractive seashore coastline in Australia. There is a magnificent variety of enticements and undertakings in Dunsborough and the surrounding areas including: Whale and dophin watching, scenic cruises and charter boats, ocean kayaking, canoeing, surfing, kite surfing, windsurfing, water skiing, horse rides, fabulous golf, angling from the rocks, seashore and sandy beaches, snorkelling and scuba diving, mountain biking and bushwalking, wildlife reserves, arts and crafts and boutique local food produce. Close by is Meelup National Park that marks the starting point for the stunning coastal hiking trail pathway that runs all the way to Cape Naturaliste. The Cape to Cape walking track and the annual 4-day Cape to Cape mountain bike race offer challenges for locals and tourists. Enjoy scenic guided tours to the Margaret River Wine Region.

You can enjoy swimming, diving and surfing at some wonderful local beaches - Meelup, Eagle Bay and Bunker Bay. Often you will glimpse bottlenose dolphins playing amoung the waves in the turquoise water and may even glimpse a whale passing by offshore.

The diving in the locality is truly unbelievable, especially the wreck-dive to the The HMAS Swan, sunk just offshore at Dunsborough.

Close by are numerous fine restaurants, bistros and cafes many overlooking the Bay. There are more than 85 wine makers and 225 boutique vineyards and in the Margaret River Wine Region, many with tastings at their cellar doors, so load the cheese, crackers and other snacks and embark on a guided wine tour or drive yourself.

Visit the nearby Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse to find out about the maritime heritage of the district at the museum and watch whales and dolphins cruising in the waters below the Cape.
