What's in a name? You may well ask? But a catchy and witty business name can be a gold mine for attracting customers. Many of these names become stuck in our brains and we tell our friends about them, which is a great way to get promotion for a business. When choosing a business name there are generally two schools of thought:
New and Quirky - Google, Yahoo, Flickrs, Odeos, Twitter, Wotif. - which work because they are memorable and unique. These types of names can work very well for mass-market services or products but it make take a lot of time and money to get established.
Descriptive and Functional - A good descriptive business name should convey in several words what your business does, such as 'Customized Stickers'; 'Fold-up Shoes' .

Some very goods names here.
Here's one you missed from out Asia somewhere. It's a book shop and is the owners name :- "Wong Fu Kin Book Shop" and that without worrying yourself about your shop name. Some things just can't get any easier.

All these names achieve the main thing for a business, to be recognized. Even if you don't remember why you know it, it'll be hard to forget seeing businesses like Pane in the Glass, Thai Me Up, and Thai Tanic. I'll never use any of these places but I'll certainly remember them.
