Strahan is a major tourist centred surrounded by untamed wilderness area, with a convict history heritage, established on the rugged West Coast of Tasmania, in the North West Region. The Strahan locality encompasses Sarah Island, in the large Macquarie Harbour, and the charming Gordon River.
